July Stamp Camp- Last Few Samples

Here you go. The last few samples from last Sunday's stamp camp. We had a great time. I hope you will join us for the next one. Date TBD for this fall.

This is a Sympathy card designed with the Close as a Memory set. This is a must have set. I never know what to write in sympathy cards and this set has some great verses. The flowers are done by coloring the stamp directly with the Watercolor Crayons, Spritzed with water, and then stamped. We used the Blender Pen to add the orange centers to the flowers. This is a cute treat box designed to fit the Ghiradelli Chocolate Squares. The box is made and then a topper and matching bottom piece added to add some interest. The belly band is Certainly Celery Grosgrain Ribbon with a White Scallop attached. I layered the stamped & punched center circles onto the scallop and then used scissors to snip the scallops to create the daisy look. The petals are bent up for texture. Sorry the sample is in such bad shape, my preschoolers thought it was very cool.
Here is a card that I cased off of SCS. I wanted to do a Resist Brayer card and this one fit the bill. We stamped the large flowers with Black Stazon and the small flowers with Versamark. Then we brayered over the top with Pretty in Pink ink. We completed the small flowers by using a pencil eraser to put the dots in the center. The larger flower centers were sponged with Regal Rose ink on a Sponge Dauber. The outside petals are highlighted with Gel Pen.
Oh no, my Blossoms Abound set is retiring. Here is it's farewell presentation. The background behind the flowers is the EnFrancais set inked in Close to Cocoa, but stamped off before it was stamped on the card. Then we stamped the flowers over the top. The edges are distressed with the Cutter Kit, and then sponged with Close to Cocoa ink. The Friend is torn out of a piece of scrap paper, sponged and added with the retiring Hodgepodge Hardware clip. The background is Tres Chic stamped in Brocade Blue and sponged with Close to Cocoa.
That's it for camp stuff. Next..... to play with all the NEW stuff in the big box by the front door. Stay tuned, I have my new In Colors, Stamps, Papers, & Scallop Punch. Yippee

Sympathy cards can be so difficult. I recently went through a few of them and vowed never again not to have one or two ready.
