March Stamp Camp Samples- Round 3

This first project is done with a DVD Tin. We covered the outside and embellished with the celery twill ribbon, chipboard flower and new jumbo brads. On the inside we made decorative paper clips and clipped then on the left side above the post it notes. The inside left side was cover with two pieces of paper. The bottom piece did not have adhesive on the top so that we have a pocket for notes, receipts, paper clips- whatever. On the right side we put a notepad with a decorative scalloped top. To finish it off we added a coordinating RSVP pen. We simply slipped matching paper inside the pen.

This next card was water colored. We stamped using Basic Brown ink and then painted with Aquapainters and Watercolor Crayons on Watercolor paper. It's a simply layout that I think highlights the focal point well but also features the white striped paper from the Taste of Textiles set of specialty paper and the new Organza ribbon. The hat pin with beads was added for elegance. It's hard to tell in the picture, but the white is layered on Elegant Eggplant Cardstock. The stamp set used here was Bloomin' Beautiful.

The last card for today used one of my new favorite sets- Thoughts and Prayers. I cased this card off of SCS. The papers used are also a favorite for me. I heart the Parisian Breeze Specialty cardstock!! The white cardstock is from the SU Naturals line. The ribbon is the new white Satin from the Occasions Mini.

March Stamp Camp Samples- Round 2

Welcome to Day 2 of Stamp Camp Samples. This first card was designed to feature 3 things: the Rockability Paper, the Scallop XL Die and the Circle Scissor Plus. It's a very simple card, with a fun cheery feel.

This Acetate Box is an idea I got from the tutorial section of SCS. I love these boxes and will likely be making more. I think they will make great party favors. I used the Washington Apple Designer Paper and Party Hearty stamp set. What I love about this box is that the lid doesn't come off, it just slides up the ribbon to open. My original sample was done with the thinner striped paper. I liked it better. However, my son must have REALLY wanted the candy inside because he destroyed it the night be the camp. Nothing like a little extra work the last few moments before guests arrive.

The last sample for today uses one of my fav sets- A Good Egg. I wanted to try out my next Texture Plates so we used the small polka dots for the background. I found that I needed to add two shims (pieces of cardstock) to get a nice deep impression. The designer paper is from the Sweet Always set and the colors used are Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose and Pumpkin Pie. My favorite feature for the this card is the "cracking" egg. I think it added a lot of fun to a fairly simple easy card.

March Stamp Camp Samples

Last weekend I hosted my quarterly stamp camp. Over the next few days I will post all 12 samples of the projects we made. So keep checking back.

During the camp we used the Big Shot a lot. We used all sorts of different types of dies, texture plates etc. This first card was done with the new 3-D Pop-Up Cake Die. It became available for order on April 1st. This die includes cake "toppers" of candles and/or bride & groom. You get to choose what goes on top. In this case we went with a simple birthday card and the pop up cake on the inside provided the "wow" factor.

We also used the Sizzlet SU Big Bold Birthday dies for the cupcake on the front. The base of the cupcake is crimped to imitate the cupcake papers. In addition we used Candy Lane Designer Paper, Fine Supernova Glitter, Pretty in Pink ink and Ribbon, and the New Oval Scallop Punch that came out in the Occasions Mini catalog layered onto the the large Oval Punch. LOVE this new punch, it is a must have!!

This next project is one that I cased from Cambria Turnbow's blog. It's a purse made with the Carousel Notes. The inside is a bag-a-lope made with the Chocolate envelopes that come with the notes. I adore these envelopes. So much so that I don't use them. Hmmm, I think I have a problem :) The other items used here are Jumbo Eyelets, Chocolate Chip Ribbons, Petal Pizzazz Stamp Set, Chocolate Corduroy Buttons, and Morning Sunshine Designer Paper.

The last project for today is using the Fifth Avenue Floral set. This is not a set I loved at first, but it has grown on me. Don't be surprised to see me use it again soon. The colors used here aer Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery & Chocolate Chip. The chocolate flowers in the background also have some Dazzling Diamonds in the centers. The ribbon is from the Valet Ribbon Originals. I used the new 5/16" Neutral brads along with the Oval Punch. The oval is popped up on Dimensionals, and sponged around the edges. This photo doesn't do this card justice, it's actually very pretty in person. I think I need to buy stronger bulbs for my photo box.

March Stamp Club Samples

Yeah, I found my camera. Then I went on vacation so that is why the big delay in posting. Yikes, it's been awhile. Here are the three cards we did this month.
This card is done with the Sale-a-Bration set Polka Dot Punches, Coordinating Designer Paper and new Full Heart Punch. The heart has Dazzling Diamonds Glitter on it and a half pearl at the top.

This next card uses one of my favorite new packs of paper- Bella Birds. I matched it up with the cute new Fleurettes, Pretties Kit beads and Hat Pin, Eyelet Border Punch, and new Organza Ribbon. I loved how these products coordinated.

The last card we did is a masculine card. I find that more of my customers struggle with these types of cards than any other. I am so thankful to have a new set that is so obviously easy to use for masculine cards- Totally Tools, Woo Hoo!! I got the layout and inspiration for this card off of Splitcoast.

Where O' Where has my Camera Gone?

Hi Everyone- Just an update. I'm sorry I have posted recently. I have several things to post however my camera has gone into hiding. When it resurfaces I will get some things up. In the meantime, I am considering posting some pre-blog era samples. Keep checking back, I am should have some things coming soon.

February Stamp Club Samples

My two new stamp clubs met last night. Hello Chocolate Chip and Pretty In Pink Girls! Here are the three projects that we made.

This card is done almost completely with Sale-a-Bration items. The stamp set used is Polka Dot Punches from SAB, the Designer Paper is Delicate Dots from SAB and the Ribbon is So Saffron Grosgrain from the SAB Ribbon Bundle. The card base is Certainly Celery with one edge being punched with the new Eyelet Border Punch. All the images were punches using various SU punches. The flower eyelet is from the new Asst. Flower Brad Asst.

This card is done in the new Retro Fresh Style. The set used is Cheep Talk. We also used the coordinating Good Morning Sunshine Designer Paper, Pacific Point/Chocolate Chip/Kiwi Kiss/Pumpkin Pie cardstocks and Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon. The pumpkin border around the edge of the branch image is distressed. This was a super simple fun card.

Lastly we made these card carriers. I found the design on SCS and followed a tutorial online done by Julie Buhler. It's fabulous and so cute. I will definitely be making more of these. The supplies we used on this one are Rose Red and Kiwi Kiss Cardstocks & Inks, Kiwi Kiss Striped Ribbon, Raspberry Tart Designer Paper, Pretties Kit, Scallop Punch, Aquapainters, Tool Kit, Word Window & Corner Rounder Punches, Silver Brads and lots of Sticky Tape. The "For You" image comes from the One of a Kind Set.

Happy Valentines

I know I am Here are the Valentines I made for my oldest daughter. They are sucker covers and each one has a Tootsie Pop inside. I bought these sets a long time ago, probably pre-kids. They have long since retired, but I held onto them just in case someday I had kids. I had grand plans to make the Valentines for all three kids, but 60 turned into too many. So Allison gets to take these and the twins got to take store bought ones..... I know.... gasp. Anyway, I kept these simple The backs had a Happy Valentine's Greeting an space for the To/From as all kids Valentines had. I am glad I saved these sets. I will be using them again someday.
