Ornaments

I have been super busy getting ready for the Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Convention in Bellevue, WA on Nov 14-15th. Each year I decorate a small tree for the booth. This year the tree will feature the On Board Trinkets Ornaments featured on page 14 of the Holiday Mini Catalog. This is a great kit, in fact it makes up to 40 ornaments, which is great. I love how the designer is diecut to match the ornaments. Last year, I traced and cut out so many intricate snowflake ornaments for the tree. Anyway, here is a selection of the ornaments- most sparkle, though it's hard to tell in the pictures.

This first set, includes the use of the Pretties Kit, Felt Flurries, layering and glitter.
This next set have all been inked with Versamark Ink and embossed with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder. This is a great way to add sparkle and really jazz up the pieces.
This set is all done stain glass style. I layed the ornaments down on wax paper and then filled the openings with Crystal Effects. Some are sprinkled with different glitters before drying, and others were filled with CE that is dyed with reinker.
Here are two examples where I adhered Silver Microbeads. These turned out really cool. The ball is done with Sticky Strip and the other one was done with Tombow Multi Glue. This last selection of ornaments show a variety. The Green one, has tiny dots of Dazzling Diamonds carefully placed in the centers of each flower. The red one on the left has green glitter around the edge, pretties beads hanging down and half pearls in the center. The blue one has been painted with Crystal Effects and sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds. The snowflake is a felt flurry that I embossed with Iridescent Ice EP. The final red one has Fire Square Rhinestone brads and silver beads applied. The brads had their prongs snipped off and adhere on. The beads are held on with Sticky Tape.I hope you like the sampling of these ornaments. I am moving onto my next project for the event. If you are going to be attending the show, be sure to drop by and say hi.
