August Stamp Club Samples

Sorry for the delay in posting these. Life has gotten in the way of my stamping- How dare it!! lol

This card is one that I had planned out in my mind since June. I love this Circle Circus set and I finally had time to make a Topiary with it. The colors used are Soft Suede, Old Olive and Always Artichoke. We used some of the new Ribbon Originals and Cottage Wall Designer Paper. The pot and accent layers are done in Rich Razzleberry.

This next card uses the new Simple Snowflake stamp and matching punch. I love it when SU makes punches to go with their images. We stamped the background using Versamark and brayered over the top to execute the resist technique.

For these last two cards I turned to SCS and cased one from kspiv and my blog sisters. Unfortunately I lost my slip of paper that had the blog listed with the "Thinking of You" card. Thank you ladies for your inspiration!! We used the Autumn Days set, which has really grown on me. It is very versatile and easy to use.
As you can see, we focused on simple cards that can be done in large quantities easily. I wouldn't want to make 100 topiary cards, but the other ones can all be created quickly but still look great.

Baby Shower Samples

Wow, I have been so busy. We were out and about most of the summer and then school, dance and soccer started. Things have been crazy. Did I mention that I sent my oldest off to her first day of Kindergarten. Sniff sniff, I am so proud of her!! Here are a few things that I did for a baby shower I hosted recently. Darn it, I didn't save a copy of the invitation to post. If I can find one I will post later. I will post my August Stamp Club samples in the next couple of days.

The colors for the baby shower were pink and brown, my favs. I use almost exclusive Stampin' Up! products generally. For these projects I went through all my scraps including some non SU stuff that I never use. It was nice to be able to use some stuff and make room for my new SU stuff.

This is a wreath I made and hung on the front door.

Here is a front and back picture of the diaper cake I made. The butterflies were made with the SU Exclusive Butterfly die in the Big Shot. The ribbon is the now retired Chocolate Chip satin ribbon and Pink Pirouette super wide grosgrain layered together. All the butterflies have 3 Pretties Kit Pearls in the center of them.

Lastly, I used my exclusive SU pennant die to make a, "It's a Girl" sign. At the party I flanked it with pink and chocolate balloons.
